This is a historical place where Sin Saimdang (1504∼1551) and her son, Lee Yulgok (1536∼1584), one of the greatest Confucian scholars in Korea, were born. She was an extraordinary artist, and was also famous as a role model for a good wife and wise mother.

Her son, Lee Yulgok, was one of the two greatest scholars along with Yi Hwang in the Joseon Dynasty.Ojukheon House was built by a scholar in the Joseon Dynasty, Choe chi-un (1390~1440).

The size is 3 rooms on the front side and 2 rooms on the side.

Its half-gabled, half-hipped roof has the shape of 人 when viewed from the side.

The two rooms on the left side were used as the main hall.

And, the one room on the right side was made to be a Korean under-floor heating system room.

The wooden blocks support from the upper parts of the pillars to the eaves of the roof with two decorations sticking out like the wings of birds.

As this technique is a rare form in housing construction, and as it shows the changing process of the construction forms of the Joseon, it has been an important material for construction history research. It is one of the oldest buildings among our country's housing construction works, and it is a wood made building with a history.
